I’m David. Software engineer, AI consultant, and the person you’ll actually work with.

I went independent in 2024 after leaving Data Engineering at Sainsbury's. Before the days of ChatGPT I was machine learning Engineer at Ryff. A US AI startup. But I've been in this space since the age of 16, and I have done everything from network engineering to IT deployments with the NHS at UCLH, real systems with real users, real consequences when things break.

I studied Software Engineering with an AI specialisation at Nottingham Trent, focused on computer vision and CNN training, and finished with a Microsoft Azure AI High Achievers award. Since then, I’ve shipped production RAG systems—from retrieval and embeddings to evaluation—and I build with AI coding agents like Claude Code every day.

The other half of my brain makes things people watch. I’ve created cinematic lifestyle content as King Isoka since 2019, with one reel passing 10 million views. Engineering taught me how systems work. Creating taught me how attention travels.

Pattrned Labs brings those two worlds together. I’m based in Hertfordshire, working with businesses across the UK and US. And yes, our own pipeline runs on the same kind of system we build for you.
